Reporting to the Director - Global Communications, Public Relations (PR) & Analyst Relations (AR), this role will hold a strategic Asia responsibility for leading and shaping implementations of plans to support business goals and growth targets in the region.

Your role will entail overseeing the strategic and tactical PR and AR functions to support in deliver the business’s global marketing and growth strategy in the region.

Driving effective PR and AR strategy and activities will be in your DNA and you lead by example.

Key accountabilities

  • Manage Colt’s Asia PR (main) and AR tactics and strategy in line with global strategy and themes
  • Leads and manages the Asia PR agencies model with local capabilities, experience and measures to correct KPIs
  • Understanding of PR functions with in-house B2B vendor experience, preferably – includes authoring press releases, bylined articles, blogs.
  • Familiarity and experience in managing PR centred events including press conferences and partner PR.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to project manage both core deliverables and requested deliverables from the business to leverage insight and understanding
  • Manage performance of the Asia Pacific regional PR and AR activities to increase efficiency year by year
  • Sign-off final external/internal announcement and contents in Japanese language to ensure that the localisation is conducted accurately
  • Lead, manage and build strong analyst relations strategy in Asia to increase analyst rankings of Colt with major houses in the region.
  • Execute and manage Colt’s local representation at analyst and industry platforms


Relationships and key contacts

  • Collaborate, contributes and works closely with the Asia Pacific team support to support localised marketing, sales and revenue growth
  • Provides high level reporting to Asia Colt Executives on regional PR and AR plans to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Oversee, develop and plan PR and AR activities in Asia with a strong focus on Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
  • Exceptional personal network in the market

Skills & Experience

  • Have a proactive approach and a thirst to stay one step ahead
  • Have analytical and consultative communication skills
  • Good writing skills both in Japanese and English
  • Be both a self-starter and a team player
  • Own the issues, from project beginnings through to presenting findings
  • Be ambitious to keep learning
  • Has a strong background in public relations.
  • Analyst relations is preferable
  • Familiar with PR metrics monitoring tools

  • Result oriented with high commitment, resilience and a positive attitude.
  • Proven track record of building B2B PR activities to increase share of voice and build brand equity.
  • Commercially minded with a good understanding of the B2B sales cycle
  • Strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit passionate, persuasive and inspiring
  • Professional appearance and a level of 'presence' to gain acceptance at Board level in order to create a positive impact and influence


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • English and Japanese language skills at professional level
