Inside Sales

Key accountabilities


Sales-related, as primary focus

  • Keep existing customers apprised of product and service updates via outbound calling and email
  • Identify and set up visit appointments for Account Executives via outbound calling to existing customers
  • Identify new DMUs within existing customers via outbound calling
  • Discuss and resolve any billing matters with existing customers via outbound calling and email
  • Directly oversee day-to-day a portfolio of small customer accounts remotely from the office (no visit requirement)


Administrative Tasks, as needed

  • Prepare pricing quotations, order form documents, and other proposal/sales documents for customers as needed
  • Register and update sales opportunities in the CRM system (C4C)
  • Create, submit, and follow up on pricing requests to internal Commercial Finance Team
  • Create, submit, and follow up on internal requests to assign Sales Engineers to sales opportunities
  • Complete credit check and NDA workflow for new customers
  • Input client and order information into Siebel
  • Check and verify information stored on internal systems and make corrections as required (Siebel, C4C, MS Access for Churn Data etc.)
  • Submit complete, accurate order information to internal SOP (Order Processing) Team
  • Work with internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and to swiftly resolve any invoicing/billing issues
  • Internally manage any change order requests
  • Support any contract-related requirements working internally with Legal, Procurement, Sales teams etc. as required
  • Create, submit, and follow up on any sales ringi (i.e. internal approval request workflow) requirements
  • Call tree management for use by operations teams
  • Engage Delivery, Operations, Billing teams etc. – or any other internal relevant function - as required for the resolution of any issues arising from or on behalf of customers


Relationships and key contacts

  • Reporting to Japan-based Sales Director formally, and supervised also day-to-day by Japan-based CRS Team Lead
  • internal stakeholders – Sales, Commercial Finance, Billing, Delivery, Operations, Legal, Procurement, Solution Architects, Service Management, etc.


Role specific requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Native Fluent Japanese for speaking, listening, writing, and reading
  • Business Level in English for reading and writing, listening and speaking
  • Experience in handling customer call/e-mails for complaints and inquiries
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and Excellent active listening skills
  • Working knowledge on Microsoft Office (Excel / Word /PowerPoint)


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in working in Sales Support or Customer Support with phone work responsibilities
  • Basic knowledge of IT services
  • Degree level education preferable
