Account Director

Key Accountabilities


  • Manages a portfolio of global accounts in the segment of Wholesale and winning new logos within these global accounts.
  • Builds strategically orientated Account Development Plans, globally designed and executable at regional and local levels.
  • Implements and executes agreed colt wholesale sales strategy, that will be reflected in the ADPs.
  • Identifies and evaluates customers' current and future business needs, translate these business needs into service requirements and builds recommendations for solutions that ensure that customer's focus is the driving force behind all activities.
  • Builds and works in true partnership with key customer contacts to build and maintain C-LEVEL relationships, involving decision making and influencing customer structures, with the objective to build a full Peer-to-peer C-LEVEL contact matrix.
  • Delivers to customer colt updates at strategic level.  
  • Represents and promotes Colt and its services in a professional manner, delivering presentations and organizing High-level customers workshops.
  • Reports accurately on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis on sales results, forecast and pipeline.
  • Perfectly understands Colt Governance rules (Sales, Finance, Operations) and makes sure that all opportunities are managed in excellent coordination with Sales Engineers and pricing managers to define a compelling win-strategy.
  • Manage a team of Regional and Local Account managers in a matrix mode.
  • Own and manage directly a set of accounts / logos within her/his regional presence.


Skills & Experience

  • Excellent sales skills developed through at least 5 years' sales experience in an international service business.
    • Strong qualification skills.
    • Existing personal network with contacts within the wholesale industry.
    • Professional Pipeline and Forecast-management.
  • At least 10 years' experience of the ICT-market.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence at VP and Director level in a multicultural and multinational environment.



  • Bachelor's Degree / MBA in business / technology preferred.
  • English language skills at professional level.
  • Additional European language skills in working across countries.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use CRM tool such as C4C.
