The Role & Accountabilities:


Ensures the KPI for delivery and assurance services as per agreed SLA. Schedules and delivers together with 3rd all BCN & influence area pipeline (New, modifications, ceases & internal).

  • Communicates with internal and external customers in a professional and customer focused manner.

  • Handles multiple information flows between different departments, locally and internationally.

  • Creates a geographically optimized planning in the most economical way with the minimum of resources.

  • Provides stable planning by a proactive approach and realistic targets.

  • Processes the workflow in various systems (Xtract, OHS, Siebel, planningtool, email, phone…) by respecting the internal OLAs.

  • Utilizes knowledge and general technical overview towards the workload of installations, the resources needed, the visits required and the time needed to execute the work.

  • Handles large projects spread over multiple weeks in coordination with the lead technicians and handle various projects in coordination with OM/PM.

  • Able to take up the technical work preparation tasks e.g. verifying technical readiness of the installation towards technical information and equipment,  handling technical handovers. Act as a backup for the existing work preparation and planning roles within the team.

  • Able to handle service assurance tasks.

  • Coordinate operational relationships, and liaise with suppliers and internal Colt teams.


What you will need to succeed

  •  Either an industry recognized qualification in transmission, IP Data, VOIP or voice networks or equivalent experience and training relevant to a Second Level Technician.

  • Fluent in  Spanish and English (written and spoken).

  • Able to interpret and present, technical information in an easy to understand format.

  • Demonstrate a logical/methodical approach to fault finding.

  • Able to demonstrate the developed skills needed to perform complex tasks, and the ability to find solutions in a timely manner.

  • Strong negotiation skills / Customer facing skills.

  • Good knowledge of how to handle Internet based applications.

  • Knowledge of Managed Networks, specifically IPVPN / MPLS based networks desirable.

  • Previous experience of successfully handling multiple workflows between different departments, locally and internationally.

  • Proven experience with administrative tasks and being meticulous with this.

  • Proven experience  working with customers in a business to business environment is essential.

  • Direct service delivery/order management experience within the Telco/Technology Services industry is beneficial

  • Experience of placing orders with, and managing Third party suppliers desirable.

  • Proven experience of handling large projects over multiple days/weeks in coordination with internal teams (lead technicians) and handling various projects in coordination with Order Managers and Project Managers.

  • Previous experience of planning, whilst demonstrating a proactive approach and realistic appreciation of targets.

  • Understands the workload of installations, the resources needed, the visits required and the time needed to execute the work.

  • Experience of working within a Technical role, in a networking environment, completing first level analysis and fault isolation.

  • Technical background or proven by experience: a good understanding and proven troubleshooting experience in some of the following: SDH, PDH, MSP, ATM, Frame Relay, PCM, Ethernet, DWDM, TDM.

  • Working experience with some of the following vendors and their associated transmission equipment and management systems: Marconi, ALU, Lucent, Nortel, Nokia, NSN, Siemens, Overture, Adva, Infinera, Aspen, Netcool, Smarts, CISCO, Huawei, Accedian, Cyan
