Lead Analyst, Accounting and Reporting

Your tasks:

 

  • Assist preparation of the Group’s IFRS Annual Report and support the group audit process (audited by PwC)
  • Assist preparation of head office subsidiary accounts (UK GAAP)
  • Direct assistance and involvement in group reporting to Senior management at period ends, supporting the month/quarter-end close process
  • Provide reporting oversight of and assistance to country, divisional and shared service centre finance teams in a multi-national environment
  • Technical IFRS analysis of group financial accounting issues and transactions (including IFRS 9,15,16 support)
  • Analyse country/divisional and Group monthly results
  • Undertake other tasks and commercial analysis covering all aspects of Group Finance

 

The Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Prepares data for the production of internal and external financial reports based on IFRS

  • Undertakes analytical and reporting projects at the request of senior management

  • Analyses financial trends within the business

  • Interacts effectively with internal customers such as country/divisional finance teams and senior Group Finance management, as well as the external auditors

  • Ensures accurate IFRS group accounting, including preparation of technical papers

 

What you will need to succeed:

 

  • The role would suit an individual with up to c.18 months PQE seeking their first move into industry or their first role within a Group Finance team
  • Analytical background with a solutions-based approach to work
  • Experience of effectively and confidently communicating at all levels across an organisation up to Senior management
  • Confident and motivated individual who can work using their own initiative
  • Will need to work with the Group’s data analysis systems
  • Ideally Big-4 qualified accountant

  • IFRS qualified experience
