The Role and Accountabilities:


We are recruiting a person with a good technological background to provide second and third level IT support of our internal applications (mostly web based). Your dedication will help to maintain the high quality of our systems and deliver a solid service to our end customers. You will be supporting infrastructure and application layers of our customer portal, sales CRM and asset management systems. You will be part of a lean IT team, that designs, deploys, configures and supports our key systems.
Your day-to-day will involve troubleshooting high priority issues, communicating resolution plans to end-users and implementing break fixes wherever possible. You will be working closely with our delivery team when new software packages are required.

Proactive Support
•    Analyses of software and infrastructure logs
•    Review of system capacity
•    Analyses of risk areas
•    Review and implementation of best practices
•    Review and sign off technical documentation for new releases. 


Reactive support
•    Handle support tickets that are escalated by our first line support team.
•    Troubleshoot new issues. Provide root cause analyses. 
•    Research, propose and implement fixes.
•    Keep our technical documentation, including known error log and fix instructions, up to date.
•    Document and train first / second line support staff on how to fix known issues. 

 

What you will need to succeed:

Essential

Technologies
PHP, IaaS, PaaS, Data Processing
Java, Tomcat, IIS (Web technologies in general)
Oracle and MySQL databases, hosted in the cloud
Microsoft Azure, Windows virtual machines, Office 365

Attitude
Self-driven, taking initiatives, excellent communication (English)

Skills
Quick to pick up new systems/environments and grasp the logic
At ease with datasets / data management / data integration and transfer
Able to explain complex IT concepts to non-technical crowds
Able to quickly and accurately troubleshoot system errors

 

Desirable

Knowledge
Understanding of the Data Centre Colocation business
Key applications: SugarCRM, Kayako, FNT Software
Other languages: EU languages/Japanese
Training/Certifications: ITIL, Any mentioned technologies.
