Job Title: HR Manager, UK, US and Ireland

The Role and Accountabilities:

  • To effectively lead the UK HR Operations team ensuring  operational excellence across all aspects of the Employee Lifecycle is achieved throughout our UK, US and Ireland offices.
  • Provide expertise across all areas of HR Operations ensuring a pro-active, consistent and efficient approach in line with our Global Operating Model
  • Partner with business and HR stakeholders to provide support across all aspects of HR Operations to ensure that  business needs can be met whilst remaining legally compliant, and operating in line with best practice guidelines.
  • Seek to create efficiencies and automation across HR Operations to maximise customer satisfaction, enhance productivity and minimise errors.
  • Support the implementation of HR policy, programmes and business change management initiatives operationally,
  • Provide advice, guidance and direction, and consultative services to business stakeholders on all people operations issues.
  • Responsible for ensuing HR policy, process, systems and supporting tools are locally compliant .
  • Responsible for ensuring the operational elements of all key people processes are delivered e.g. performance management, talent management, annual salary and benefits review.
  • Assist with a comprehensive review of all UK, IE and US HR processes and policies, and provide recommendations on how to optimise HR Operations
  • Implement and fully embed the HR Operating Framework within the UK, IE and US to enable and support Colt’s People Agenda.
  • Lead on Employee Relation cases including negotiations and consultations. Provide expert advise to colleaguges Globally on UK, IE and US Employment law.
  • Collaborate with HR Colleagues across all specialisms on the delivery of various global HR initiatives to drive business change.
  • Lead, coach and develop the UK HR Operations Team. 


What you will need to succeed

  • Requires substantial experience in a HR Operations or generalist capacity across a multi country remit/team.
  • Robust, resilient, approachable and diplomatic with the confidence to deal with challenging senior leaders
  • A strong customer service mind set when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Capacity to deal with a wide range of stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
  • Able to create and develop innovative solutions to complex HR operational issues.
  • Strong networking ability across the company at all levels
  • Ability to meet deadlines and cope with pressure
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, influence and problem solving skills
  • Friendly and able to converse with people at any level
  • High level of passion, drive and enthusiasm for HR
  • High sensitivity and awareness of working with people of many cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly with respect to organisation, prioritisation, and time management.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, risk and changing direction of projects and strategies
  • CIPD or equivalent desired
