Account Executive New Business (m/f/d)

The Role and Accountabilities:

  • Win new accounts for COLT in Germany
  • To achieve and exceed order targets within allocated accounts
  • Winning new business across all product lines (NWS, VS & DCS) for COLT within TOP 1.000 companies
  • Development of sales plan based on booking targets, allocated named accounts (prospects)
  • Execute sales plan according to monthly milestones
  • Building a qualified pipeline to cover 6 – 12 months rolling period
  • Work within a team of solution architects and bid managers to define a compelling win-strategy for each opportunity
  • Deliver and present industry leading proposals to IT Management and General Management of the prospect
  • Achieve/overachieve personal booking targets
  • Deliver proper reporting (pipeline, forecast, win-loss ratio)
  • Professional processing of the opportunities and weekly CRM administer
  • Self dependend mix of daily business and project management
  • Professional Hand-over to Account Management after contract signature
  • in order to manage achievement of booking targets
  • Everyday a positiv mindset in a highly competitive market
  • Fluent German and English


What you will need to succeed:

  • Excellent sales skills (especially) winning new accounts developed through at least five years' direct sales experience probably in a service business:
  • Proven and consisten track record on hunting new accounts (new logos) during the past 36 months
  • existing personal network with C-Level contacts within the target accounts
  • At least five years' experience of the telecommunications market and/or IT-Outsourcing market with good knowledge of Value Added Network Services and existing pipeline for 2018
  • Excellent influence and communication skills (written, presentational and inter-personal).
  • Good planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Result oriented with high commitment, resilience and a positive attitude.
  • Professional appearance and a level of 'presence' to gain acceptance at Board level.
  • Being a leader and taking on ownership beside organigram and hierarchy.
  • Teamplayer with a „hands on- mentality“
  • Highly motivated to go the „Extra mile“ to win
  • Eager to learn
