Role Porpose:

Responsible to manage very large Colt-internal project/programmes ensuring that individual projects/work-streams under the programme/project are delivered on time, within a predefined revenue/cost plan and to the internal Customer’s specification, using project management methodology and company standard processes.

Earn trust and influence up to an EVP level, Sponsors and Business Owners and deliver to high customer satisfaction.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the definition, documentation and successful completion of very large sized programmes of certain complexity, directing and counselling individual project managers and teams, and advising customers/stakeholders as necessary on all phases.
  • Delivers programme to the committed budget, schedule and quality.
  • Ensures effective financial and projects progress forecasting is done by project managers and reports about it as appropriate.
  • Consolidates and controls the allocated human and material resources, associated revenue costs and all capital costs against the programme budget.
  • Ensures that a change control procedure is in place, and actively used to assess the effect of changes to the projects on costs, timescale and/or resource needs and reports these to project sponsors.
  • Builds and maintains a highly motivated team from various geographies, and ensures they are clear on expectations.
  • Ensures all key PM documentation is developed and maintained, including Project Implementation Document (PID), Project Milestone Plan, Risk and Issues register, tracking dashboard, weekly reports, monthly stakeholder reports, Lessons learned etc.
  • Establishes a single point of contact for the internal Customer for the duration of the project and agreeing escalation paths and manages expectations for all stakeholders.
  • The effective customer communication during the project life cycle ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Ensures internal and external suppliers are engaged to deliver the project on time; When and where necessary for certain area engages directly with external suppliers.
  • Comply to Colt’s Framework for Project Controls for Project Delivery, Governance and Reporting.
  • Reports own time and expenses accurately and timely.
  • Escalates exceptions quickly to Sponsoring group and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensures that individual projects are formally closed down, and where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured and appropriate action taken. Produces appropriate documentation to support these processes.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project/Programme Manager, conversant with project management techniques and performance controls, and measuring methods.
  • Prior direct experience in successfully delivering programmes, and in working in a project environment. Able in working in a project environment where a certain level of agility and fluidity is to be managed.
  • Demonstrable business (commercial judgement) and financial analysis skills (good understanding of the business, its customers and market drivers).
  • Strong communicator (verbal, written, presenting), leader and coach.
  • Excellent inter-personnel and stakeholder management skills, capable of:
    • Influencing/engaging up to an EVP-level.
    • Motivating high performing teams.
    • Delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-organised, flexible and creative.
  • Excellent team player and able to work in an international team.
  • Programme governance specifics.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and teams working on legal entity setup covering regulatory compliance, setting up finance, taxation, HR teams and processes.
  • Process development for new organization entity, staff hiring, on-boarding and training rollout to ensure BAU readiness.
  • Layer 1, 2 and 3 NW build and commissioning: ensure smooth network deployment and commissioning by liaising with related work stream PM and team.
  • IT infra and systems build and commissioning: ensure smooth IT infra-systems build and commissioning by liaising with related work stream PM and team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in managing projects. 3 years of programme management experience.
  • Industry recognised project management qualification, such as MSP/PRINCE2/PMP/Agile, and/or other.
  • Fluent in English and German/French/Spanish.
  • ITIL.
  • CCNA/CCNP/CCIE (nice to have).
