Job Title:  Sales Operations Analyst - Governance

Location: Amsterdam or London preferred but could be based from other European Colt offices


Role Purpose:

  • Facilitate the Sales Governance process, working with the account teams to ensure compliance and offer guidance where needed
  • Manage the tools and documents which support the Sales Governance process, that is the GO! (Governance of Opportunities) process for complex opportunities
  • Drive the production of key management information
  • Working closely with key senior stakeholders, the Sales Governance Coordinator will support Sales teams across Europe, America and Asia
  • Strengthen the Governance for projects in Delivery and Run phases


 Key Accountabilities:

  • Co-ordinate and distribute documentation for reviews in sufficient time to enable the panel to prepare
  • Chair GO! meetings, ensuring that all key areas are covered and calls are managed within timeframes
  • Take and issue notes from each GO! meeting, ensuring all key points and decisions are captured and actions delegated to the accountable persons
  • Support the sales teams with adherence to the GO! process and compliance to timelines of their opportunities
  • Keep all systems and logs up to date to enable accurate weekly and monthly reporting
  • Record highlights and trends from meetings/approvals for inclusion in monthly reporting and continuous improvement purposes.
  • Attend regular participant and panel reviews for feedback and improvement of the process
  • Support the deployment of an automated workflow inside CPQ for the most transactional opportunities (consultancy in design phase, testing, feature enhancement proposal), promote the tool internally and assist user community (Sales, Deal Pricing, Approvers,  …),  perform quality assurance and control the good usage of the workflow,
  • Extend the governance in the post-win phase (Transition and Operations), allowing to track the deviation between forecast and in-life. For complex projects, support the organization of dedicated GO! review. Structure and set-up a governance gathering the key stakeholders in order to review the smaller projects (all at once) regularly and feedback any gaps / process enhancement in the sales process.
  • Communicate the DoA (Delegation of Authority) and the Engagement process to Sales teams whenever necessary
  • Present overview of Governance processes as part of the Colt induction programme


What you will need to succeed:

  • Experience working in bids in the Telecommunications or ICT sector would be advantageous
  • Process Management
  • Bid Management may be a suitable background
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience in managing senior level relationships across an international & multicultural environment
  • Ability to present and communicate to senior management.
  • A good technical understanding of telecoms technology, the competitive environment and where Colt is positioned.
  • Able to quickly establish credibility and rapport with sales & business staff
  • Customer focused and commercially astute
  • Takes initiative to keep skills of self up to date and actively contributes to team knowledge sharing
  • Demonstrable experience of working across functional disciplines to achieve project success.
  • University degree
  • High level of English language
  • One or two additional European languages desirable
